Glass is a porous surface & has a lot of microscopic hills & valleys, this is why minerals in the water can catch on the surface & build up, eventually it can build up so severe that the glass becomes etched & the damage can be irreversible in some cases, this is why we strongly recommend applying a hydrophobic protective coating to your glass especially when it’s subject to harsh conditions, eg, shower screens, pool fences, windows exposed to sprinklers & or coastal conditions.
